Andrew Quinn – Hentley Farms
Andrew Quinn has been the chief winemaker of Hentley Farms since 2008, bringing wealth of knowledge from Victoria and California before he made his mark on the Barossa Valley. He’s helped to craft delicious world-class wines from the boutique estate.
Andrew shares some fun facts:
Favourite food? I love lots of different cuisines but I think Italian wins out in the end.
Favourite place to travel? This is a really tough one to answer but I think I will stick local and say North Queensland, such a beautiful place with weather to match.
What three people would you like most to invite to a dinner party? Don Bradman, Tiger Woods and Steve Jobs.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not winemaking? Hanging out with my family, playing golf, mountain biking and enjoying a glass or two.
Most valuable piece of advice you’ve ever received? Trust your palate more than the numbers.
If you were to describe your personality as a wine, what sort of wine would you be? Barossa Grenache, spicy and vibrant but still structure!
Anything else you’d like to share? Our two new stainless steel wine lines are named after our two wine dogs Trevor and Stanfield.
Why have you chosen to support this event and SunnyKids? Because it is such a great cause.
