Dream team at Ray White
Dan Sowden and James Goldsworthy are two of our wonderful event partners from Ray White and will also play a big role in being our auctioneers for our special fundraising event, encouraging our guests to dig deep for a very worthy cause.
Dan is at the helm of the Maroochydore agency which was established in 1999 servicing the broader Sunshine Coast real estate market and helping people to seek out lifestyles and not just homes or investments.
Ray White is also committed to making a difference within the community.
Having grown up locally on the Sunshine Coast, Dan is heavily engaged in the local community. Whether it be a part of his sporting passion with the local Maroochydore Rugby Union or Surf Clubs through to local charities for the disadvantaged, he is an avid supporter of many local charities; often becoming their official Auctioneer.
“We take pride in our community involvement and support of the causes that matter to the Sunshine Coast; for example our ongoing support of local Maroochydore sporting groups and charities,” Mr Sowden said.
“We are passionate about the communities in which we live and work. It’s through this passion, energy and commitment that we look forward to providing an outstanding property experience.”
“From the multi-million-dollar waterfront residences to family homes and yielding investment properties, our large team of dynamic and knowledgeable individuals are focused on delivering you an outstanding property experience.”
“With over 20 years’ experience, we are one of the largest and longest serving real estate businesses across the coast. It is through our experience that we understand the many nuances of each local community and how we can match that lifestyle and property to the one that you seek.”
Fun facts about Dan:
Favourite place to travel? With an 18month old, I would get a babysitter and have dinner out with my wife.
What three people would you like most to invite to a dinner party? Barak Obama, Donald Trump and Julian Assange – I would literally just take the popcorn and watch!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? We have just moved into our new home, so spending time at home without the phone.
Most valuable piece of advice you’ve ever received? Talent is cheaper than table salt. Proved to me that hard work will always win in the end; plus it gave me hope because I’m not that talented!
If you were to describe your personality as a wine, what sort of wine would you be and why? Travis Schultz would be best placed to handle this; I would say I’m a mid-range smooth red, most likely a Shiraz or Grenache that doesn’t hit you upfront but has a smooth finish. Mid-range because I’m tight!
Why have you chosen to support this event and SunnyKids? I have enjoyed supporting a whole range of organisations over the last 17years and as an Auctioneer it’s my way of giving back, particularly when I wasn’t able to donate financially. As a new father; it just breaks my heart that some kids are less fortunate and find themselves in positions where they are not loved and cared for. It’s not their choice or fault and I believe it then becomes the local community’s responsibility to love them and support them so they can move from a position of survival to one of safety and security.
Fun facts about James:

If you were to describe your personality as a wine, what sort of wine would you be and why?
A Malbec, in between the strong flavour of a Cabernet Sauvignon and soft like a Merlot.
Why have you chosen to support this event and SunnyKids? The Children. Longstanding organisation, great cause and well run.
