Supporting SunnyKids for Over a Decade

Leisa Toomey, Director of Toomey Family Law, leads a team dedicated to supporting clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. Specialising in family law, Leisa and her team are committed to providing compassionate legal services to the Sunshine Coast community.

Leisa’s connection with SunnyKids began over a decade ago, and she’s been a proud P100 member since 2021. Her decision to support SunnyKids stems from witnessing firsthand the invaluable work the organisation does daily.

“It’s easy to support an organisation like SunnyKids when you can see the life-changing impact they have on vulnerable members of our community,” Leisa shares. “SunnyKids is a lifeline for families under pressure, especially in today’s challenging times.”

For Leisa, one of the most rewarding aspects of her support has been hearing personal stories from locals who have directly benefited from SunnyKids’ programs. She values being part of a tight-knit Sunshine Coast community where organisations like SunnyKids play a vital role in keeping people safe and supported.

In addition to her personal commitment to SunnyKids, Toomey Family Law engages with the local community through sponsorships and various initiatives. The team, though small, shares a unique bond—two of its nine members have worked together since the 1990s, with others joining along the way to create a close-knit and collaborative environment.

SunnyKids is proud to have Leisa as part of our P100 Village, using her expertise and dedication to help us break the cycle of disadvantage for Sunshine Coast families.
