SKIS SunnyKids in Schools
We want all children to have an opportunity to reach their full potential through their educational journey. That’s why we support children within the school environment who may need a little extra guidance or a helping hand. Our SunnyKids in Schools programs are designed for children who may exhibit social or emotional barriers to education. We also extend our services to the child’s family to provide ‘wrap-around’ support. We help link schools, families and service support systems to ensure a practical and needs based response is given to issues faced by families.
SKEE SunnyKids in Early Education
Through early intervention in early education centres, we aim to act as early as possible to address the experiences of young children and their potential for disengagement from schooling. Our SunnyKids in Early Education programs are designed to give young children the best chance at life. Our program connects families, centres and schools with appropriate service support systems to give meaningful and practical support. We assist with identifying what a child and their family need and where to find the right services. We help families navigate the network to deliver positive, life changing solutions.
MTS Mentoring Through Sport
SunnyKids and the Brisbane Broncos Rugby League Football Club work together to deliver the SunnyKids Mentoring Through Sports (MTS) program in several schools across Queensland. Each Mentoring Through Sport program includes eight sessions that aim to support changes in the attitude and behaviour of the children involved. The program focuses on healthy relationships, core values, self and health, physical development and health and wellbeing.
