Coastal View Homes - Transitional Housing Supporters

Coastal View Homes Pty Ltd has played a vital role in bringing SunnyKids’ Transitional Housing Project to life. With decades of experience and a heart for community, James and Kerrie McCartney have contributed their expertise and services at a discounted rate, ensuring high-quality homes are built with compassion and care.

Their involvement in the project was inspired by a long-standing professional and personal relationship with fellow supporters Peter Stannard and Ann Smales from Firefly Education, who they’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past 30 years. When approached about the initiative, James and Kerrie immediately recognised its potential to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable families on the Sunshine Coast.

For the Coastal View Homes team, this project is about more than construction—it’s about building hope, stability, and a fresh start for families facing crisis. The experience has strengthened their sense of purpose and reminded them of the power of community connection.

They believe transitional housing is a crucial safety net, offering a secure and stable environment where families can regroup, heal, and move toward long-term independence. Their wish is that each family who moves into these homes feels safe, supported, and empowered to create a better future.

Coastal View Homes is proud of the camaraderie and positivity that their team brings to every project. Their on-site culture is one of hard work, good humour, and shared commitment—making the process as fulfilling as the outcome.

Their message to others is simple: every contribution matters. Whether it’s time, resources, or expertise, giving back in any form can create real, meaningful change in the lives of those who need it most.
