NRL player Moses Mbye launches Sunshine Coast school holiday youth program with SunnyKids focused on confidence, resilience and wellbeing.
Locally owned and operated, Defiance Painting has proudly partnered with SunnyKids as a Platinum Sponsor of the SunnyKids House project. With a strong commitment to craftsmanship and community, Shai, Chris, and their team have donated all paint, supplies, and preparation work to help transform the new homes into welcoming, beautiful spaces for families in need.
Their involvement goes far beyond a professional contribution. For the Defiance Painting team, supporting SunnyKids House is deeply personal. “What SunnyKids is doing really hits home for us. They’re helping families who’ve been through tough times find safety, stability, and a fresh start – and that’s something we’re proud to support,” they share.
Their crew has taken care of everything from surface preparation through to the final coats, ensuring the finished homes are something the new residents can truly feel proud of. Every brush stroke reflects their values – care, quality, and community.
On site, the team has felt the impact firsthand. “It’s not just another job – there’s heart behind it. The boys are giving their best, taking pride in the details, and you can feel the energy shift when they realise, they’re painting a place that’ll give someone a fresh start,” says Operational Manager Joshua Whittington.
Defiance Painting believes in using their trade to make a difference where it counts. “We’re a business built by genuine battlers — people who know what it means to put in a hard day’s work and look out for the next person. Creating impact isn’t just about donating time or materials; it’s about setting a standard for how businesses can show up for their community.”
Their message to other businesses is simple: “Get involved. You don’t have to move mountains – just bring what you’re good at and do it with care. Every bit count, and when local businesses step up together, it builds something far bigger than any one of us could do alone.”
Beyond this project, Defiance Painting continues to support local charities and initiatives that make a tangible difference for people doing it tough. Their dedication to quality, integrity, and community service is evident in every project they take on, proving that strong businesses help build strong communities.
