Functional Air QLD has proudly supported the SunnyKids House project by donating and installing a fully supplied Haier ducted air conditioning system, ensuring comfort and climate control for the families who will soon call the house their home.
Based in North Brisbane, Functional Air QLD is a family-owned business specialising in the design, installation, repair and servicing of domestic and light commercial air conditioning systems. Known for their clear communication, reliability and care for their clients, Director Rhys and his team bring the same values of integrity and compassion to their community work.
For Rhys, supporting the SunnyKids House project was a natural fit. “As parents ourselves, we strongly believe every child has the right to feel safe and loved,” he says. “This project gave us a way to help make that possible in a real and hands-on way.”
With the generous support of their major partner, Haier, Functional Air QLD’s contribution went beyond a simple installation. “Our team felt incredibly proud to be part of something that would genuinely change lives,” says Rhys. “It wasn’t just another job – it was a home being built for families starting over.”
Community impact is at the heart of Functional Air QLD’s business philosophy. From supporting SunnyKids and the Children’s Hospital, to fundraising for Movember and teaming up with local real estate partners to provide Christmas gifts for families in need, their approach is always people-first.
Rhys hopes their story encourages other local businesses to get involved. “You don’t have to be a big company to make a big difference,” he shares. “Every contribution counts – it’s good for your team, your business, and your community.”
