Role: Director
Harmony Landscapes has been creating beautiful outdoor environments on the Sunshine Coast since 1974, building a strong reputation for premium residential landscape design and construction. With decades of experience and a passionate team behind them, Harmony Landscapes is dedicated not only to quality craftsmanship, but also to making a positive impact within the local community.
Their involvement in the SunnyKids House project came from a deep understanding of the important work SunnyKids provides to vulnerable children and families experiencing domestic and family violence. When the opportunity arose to contribute, the Harmony Landscapes team was eager to get involved and support a project that would make a lasting difference in the lives of local families.
For the project, Harmony Landscapes generously provided landscape design, landscaping materials, and installation services for the SunnyKids charity home – helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment for families in need.
“Our donation will hopefully help SunnyKids continue providing assistance to many children and families experiencing domestic and family violence,” Emrys shares. “We are very aware of how important these services are to our community.”
Being part of the build had a meaningful impact on the entire Harmony Landscapes team. Knowing their work would directly support an organisation helping people through some of life’s most difficult circumstances gave the project a deeper sense of purpose.
“Our team felt uplifted knowing that our work was going to benefit an organisation providing valuable assistance to others in need,” Emrys explains. “Working for the benefit of people experiencing family and domestic violence made our efforts feel truly valued and humbling.”
Community impact remains a core value for the business. As a locally owned company whose team members all live and work on the Sunshine Coast, Harmony Landscapes believes in helping create a healthier, happier, and safer community for everyone.
“There is a twofold benefit to assisting community-based services,” Emrys says. “Not only do we enjoy knowing we are making a difference, but our work also helps incredible organisations like SunnyKids continue providing valuable support to people who need it most.”
Harmony Landscapes encourages other businesses to get involved in projects like SunnyKids House whenever the opportunity arises.
“If an opportunity like this comes up, we strongly recommend getting involved,” Emrys says. “The impact you can make is incredibly worthwhile.”
