Heidi James – Passionate Educator & Supporter of SunnyKids
Heidi James is a passionate primary school teacher and small business owner who now spends part of the year in beautiful Noosa. With a lifelong dedication to education, Heidi finds deep fulfillment in connecting with young people and helping them become the best versions of themselves. For her, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student’s confidence grow and witnessing the moment learning “clicks.”
Heidi was first introduced to SunnyKids after attending a fundraising luncheon in Noosa, where she heard firsthand about the challenges facing vulnerable children and families – from domestic violence and neglect to poverty and lack of resources. Inspired by SunnyKids’ holistic approach to breaking the cycle of disadvantage, she decided to get involved. “SunnyKids recognises the importance of supporting the whole child,” Heidi shares. “They’ve thought of everything, and that’s what impressed me the most.”
Having seen the effects of hardship on children’s education outcomes, Heidi believes strongly in the power of giving back. When everyone is thriving and achieving their goals, they can be active in their community – and that makes the whole community stronger.
Although her business is based in South Australia, Heidi and her family continue to prioritise supporting local initiatives wherever they are. By partnering with other local businesses and backing community events and charities, she embodies the spirit of connection and compassion that defines SunnyKids’ village.
SunnyKids is proud to have Heidi as part of our P100 Village – a passionate advocate for education, community, and creating brighter futures for children and families across the Sunshine Coast.
