Mother and daughter duo swap fashion for fundraising

Elmari

Meet Cher and El, owners of Elmari Boutique, a family-owned fashion store which has been operating for over 20 years and is located in three stunning Sunny Coast locations; Mooloolaba, Cotton Tree and Coolum Beach.

On Friday 26th April, at Elmari Coolum Beach, the mother-and-daughter duo will roll up their sleeves and swap their love of fashion for fundraising, holding their second fashion fundraiser for SunnyKids.  An initiative that came to fruition in 2023 following the devastating ceiling collapse of their Coolum store.

“We first learnt about SunnyKids at another local fundraiser and were moved by its cause,” says Cher. “After the ceiling collapse at our Coolum store, we decided to hold a fundraiser selling water-damaged and slightly marked clothing for $25 with all proceeds going to SunnyKids. As a business, we love supporting the communities that we are a part of, especially this cause where we can facilitate women supporting women. Our wonderful community helped us raise $2,500 last year and that inspired us to make this an annual fundraising event.”

Specialising in natural fibres and quality clothing that flatters every body type, Elmari are passionate about ensuring all women feel confident and beautiful every-single-day. With a large range of quality clothing suitable for all occasions, you’ll leave feeling beautiful from head to toe. “We truly believe that style and comfort should be attainable by all and do our best to bring our extraordinary range to you competitively priced – and we’re famous for it,” says Cher.

Just as each child in a family has a unique personality, so too do the three Elmari stores. Each store reflects the wonderful community they are a part of, stocking a range of beautiful clothing in keeping with the community and their needs.

Giving back to the community they live in is at the heart of our supporters and we continue to be extremely grateful for our village’s ongoing support. With demand for our domestic and family violence services increasing year-on-year, we rely heavily on the support of our community to help the women and children who are directly impacted.

“We believe that the strength of a community is reflected in its support for its most vulnerable members,” says Cher.  “If we all do what we can to help, what a different place the world would be. At Elmari, we really see it as a small way of showing appreciation for our community.”

This massive fundraiser is one that shouldn’t be missed. Grab your friends and enjoy a day of shopping, giving and joy. “Come along and purchase some wonderful items and know that you’re also making a very real difference to the lives of our most vulnerable members in our community,” says Cher. “We’ll be having lots of fun selling a great selection of still wearable, slightly shop-damaged or faulty items – all for $25 and all proceeds going to SunnyKids.”

*Elmari will be applying exclusive discounts of up to 70% on remaining summer stock, with some of their most popular casual and resort style items also included in the sale, including linens.
